Courses
CTUpack e-learning is a range of
courses which provide guidance and training on the packing of CTUs
and the new SOLAS verified gross mass regulations. The courses are
maintained in line with the IMO/ILO/UNECE Code of Practice for
Packing of Cargo Transport Units.
The following courses are available:
Introduction
to CTU Code (Click to buy)
This course provides an introduction to the IMO/ILO/UNECE Code
of Practice (CTU Code) and includes an overview of its development
and objectives.
It is aimed at anyone who has an interest in learning more about
the CTU Code and is interested in how they can use it in their
day-to-day role.
Introduction to Freight Container VGM (Click to
buy)
This course highlights the requirements of the new amendments to
SOLAS, Chapter VI, Regulation 2 concerning the verified mass of
containers carrying cargo, mandatory from 1 July 2016. This
requires mandatory verification of the gross mass of a container
prior to loading on to a ship via two methods; either weighing the
packed container as a whole, or weighing the cargo and dunnage
material and adding this to the tare of the container.
The course looks at the detail of this new regulation and at
both of the methods for meeting the requirements.
CTUpack
Foundation - being updated for 2017
This is an e-learning foundation course for those involved in
the loading and unloading of CTUs. The aim of the course is
to support the training of consolidators and packers and to promote
best practice.
This course takes account of the recent revisions to the
IMO/ILO/UNECE Code of Practice for the Packing of CTUs.
